Onsite SEO For Better Rankings in Google

One of the most important factors in onsite optimization is the keyword research process. It is more than obvious that, in order for your keywords to be effective, they need to be closely related to the information on your site regarding products and/or services. Furthermore, your keywords or keywords phrases should be present in the content of your web site, either as words or as images.

Another aspect to consider when launching an onsite SEO campaign is the web pages title tag. The title should be different for each page of your website, it should not exceed sixty characters in length, and, of course, it should contain your targeted keywords.

A good on site SEO project should also include meta keywords and meta description. As far as meta keywords go, it is now widely believed that they are no longer as important as they used to be. Nevertheless, the major search engines still monitor meta keywords, which should be present on each of your web pages, separated by commas. It is advisable that the same number of meta keywords be used on each web page, not just the first one.

As for meta description, it plays an equally important part in optimizing your web site for search engines. Ideally, the meta description, which is a summary of the content of each web page, should be a balanced and neutral description of about two hundred characters and should also include your targeted keywords in a moderate manner.

An effective onsite SEO project should also focus on the body text, as well as on creating a sitemap and submitting it to all search engines. What's more, checking keyword density and broken links is a step that should definitely not be overlooked when attempting to optimize your site.
